Time required for completion is dependent upon the pattern the student chooses. If a student wants to schedule three or more days, the days do not have to be consecutive. Also, if someone signs up and pays for five days but completes their stick in 3 or 4, they can receive a refund for the remaining day(s) they do not need. You will learn how to put on a fancy pattern and how to carve and finish it. After this class you should be able to do your own fancy cane without help from anyone. Extra blanks will be available at a cost of $35 to $80. Tools required: carving knives, gouges, and a background tool which will be available from the instructor for $10.
